Markham East is a Forbes | Plunkett master-planned community. After purchase and planning finalization, the property was sold to Legacy South and is currently under construction.
Markham East is a townhome development located in the growing submarket of Nashville, Donelson, only 6.5 miles from downtown. The current plan will be a mixed-use development with 101 townhomes and a 3,000-square-foot commercial building within walking distance of the Music City Star commuter train stop. There will be a mix of two- and three-story townhomes.
Adjacent to the Donelson Music City Star train station, the community was designed as a transit-oriented development. It is the first project of many planned in the up-and-coming Downtown Donelson area.
Originally four parcels, two of which were necessary for ingress and egress, Donelson Station is an assemblage put together over a period of six months. The base zoning included two small commercial parcels and two single family residential parcels. The property was successfully rezoned to SP allowing for the build of 208 multifamily units in two buildings with a small commercial outparcel on Donelson Pike.
